Just a quick entry to fill you in on some of my green inspirations, also known as the blogs I follow, some books I like, and a few magazines that I enjoy.

Blogs:

  1. Treehugger.com (a huge collection of articles on everything green from food to cars to gifts)
  2. Ecogeek.org (written by Hank Green and others, a smaller selection of opinions on new green technologies)
  3. No Impact Man (well, he says it best in his header: “about what each of us can do to end our environmental crisis, make a better place to live for ourselves and everyone else, and hopefully come up with a happier way of life along the way.”)
  4. Greenasathistle.com (originally telling her story of making one green change every day for a year, which brings me to my next category:)

Books:

  1. Sleeping Naked is Green, the story of Greenasathistle’s green year
  2. Generation Green, aimed at teens trying to greenify their lives as they grow (that sounds weird, but I can’t think of another way to explain it)
  3. all the Moosewood cookbooks, a cookbook series from Molly Katzen’s original vegetarian restaurant
  4. More is Less, a cookbook aimed at lessening consumption and eating more naturally

Magazines:

  1. Vegetarian Times, which, quite obviously, is aimed at vegetarians and vegans and has tons of delicious recipes and eco articles
  2. E The Environmental Magazine, which I don’t actually get but I’ve seen a few times, and it seems interesting. Also, I couldn’t just list one magazine in this section!
